About the
Rural Quality Improvement Steering Committee
The purpose of the Rural Quality Improvement Steering Committee is to provide the framework for developing a QI plan that is comprehensive, integrated and holistic in its approach to
quality management. The Committee was asked to make recommendations regarding forms, reports, and
education that are needed to implement the model QI plan.
Members
The Nebraska Hospital Association, The Sunderbruch Corporation-Nebraska, and the Nebraska Health and Human
Services System Office of Rural Health sponsored a Quality Improvement Conference in May of 2002. At that time
several volunteers came forward to work on this project. Since 2002, others have
joined the committee.

Dashboard Reports
Dashboard reports are a useful tool to convey a large amount of information in a concise manner. The blending of
financial and clinical information into one dashboard report is a good way to
educate your board members regarding clinical aspects of care, in addition to
financial information. Dashboard reports are an easy-to-read update on your
progress on those indicators important to your facility.
