Overview: This program will cover advance directives such as living will, durable power of attorney, organ donation, mental health declaration, and do not resuscitate orders. It will include Joint Commission, CMS Hospital Conditions of Participation, case law discussion, organization position statements on DNR (do not resuscitate) and other federal laws on advance directives. The presentation will address strategies to ensure compliance with the standards/laws.
