NHA Audioconferences and
Webinars
|
NHA has partnerships with other organizations that offer Web-based
courses and programs for our members. These
include:
NHA offers several electronic meetings (audioconferences) each month on a variety of health care related topics. These meetings allow participants in different locations to use telephones or audioconferencing equipment for interactively communicating with each other in real time. The number of participants may be as small as 3 or as large as 100 or more.
Webinars are a form of computer-based training in which the training material resides on
Web pages accessible through the World Wide Web. Typical media elements are text and graphics. Webinars are as effective as on-site presentations without the travel expense. Slide presentations are reformatted into active, professional Web pages. This Web presentation, combined with a phone-bridge (traditional audioconference), allows the audience to listen and interact with the speaker/presenter.
NHA has the ability through Webinars to allow the participants to ask questions any time by submitting them online. If desired, the phone lines can be opened up for questions and discussion. Also during the presentation, the audience can be polled for questions to assure that the message is being understood.
